  In the beginning my experience was really good. I've had 2 lumbar spinal fusion surgeries over the last few years, but after I had the second surgery, I started to feel different. I hardly ever saw the doctor who did my surgeries. In fact, most of the time I would see the physician assistant or nurse practitioner. My experience with Dr. Smith has been very pleasant. I don't feel that MRI's are read in a timely manner. Once, I had to wait for over a month to get an MRI read; and my level of pain was getting worse with each passing day. It is impossible to get assistance. It is senseless to leave a message because rarely will anyone call you back. Support staff members aren't always accommodating. I feel that definite changes are needed. The compassion level is lacking.
